A moment of self-referentiality
Happenstance
By accident, I stumbled across an old article that had some bad markup for block quotes; many years ago (like, 2010 or so), I was using the Textile markup language, and it turns out that my attempts to convert all those articles to org-mode when I dropped WordPress last year were incomplete. So, of course, when I went looking for more instances I found them.
They've now been updated.
One of them was this article, which was just a pointer to something that doesn't exist any more—which tempts me to go looking for other dead links on the site, but honestly that's probably a fool's errand at this point—and the reproduction of a poem referencing William Carlos Williams poem "This is Just to Say".
But, I noted the author of the poem, "Dora Goss". And I find myself suspecting that it is likely Theodora Goss, a few of whose books I have read and enjoyed.
What's that you ask? Am I indulging in inconsequential things to distract myself from Election Day? Fuck yes.
